I'm scrolling through my twitter feed...and I'm broken.  I am seeing the hurt and the pain that is happening, and my heart goes out to my brother and sisters in the African american community and to my brother and sisters in the law enforcement community.

We have to remember this main fact  what we are seeing is the effect of SIN.  Racism is sin.  Breaking of the law is sin.  And we have to keep in our mind that this is:

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Eph 6:12

What need to understand is that there is a MUCH bigger war on hand.  The devil does not care how he gets us as long as he gets us.  We have to go after the root of the problem...not just the surface symptoms.  If we are not dealing with the root problem the issue will never go away.

So how is it that we deal with the issues of racism, evildoers, crime, etc...? The answer is the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ.  We need to be preaching and sharing the GOOD NEWS of redemption through JESUS CHRIST to all we come in contact with.

White Christians you cannot be afraid to  share Jesus in African American communities  I challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and be apart of people who are different than you.  African American Christians I challenge us to go and share Jesus to the law enforcement communities.  Be willing to leave your comfort zones to make an impact.  Engage EVERYONE.  Share the love and the redemptive power of Jesus Christ to all people.  Jesus the ONLY ONE who can and WILL transform hearts!

Do you all remember the lyrics to that old children's song?

We are all made in the image of Jesus Christ.  We need to be treating each other this way.

This means that we respect authority.  This means treating people fairly that we are in authority over.  (IE: don't be a jerk)!

When we begin to see each other in the light of the Gospel, and that we are all created in the image of  The Imago Dei things start to change!  When the GOSPEL becomes the center of our lives we will all understand that the GROUND AROUND THE CROSS IS LEVEL!

3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life,[a] and the life was the light of men  John 1: 3-4

The world needs more men and women who are treating each other like brothers and sisters, rather than enemies.

Stop today, as you're attempting to figure out who is right and who is wrong...and think about this:

'Being right is a distant second to the joy of compassion.' -Lecrae

In other words:  LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
