Make America Great Again...

Well the election is finally over.  It's been a rough one.  Some are angry and some are very happy.  The theme for this election is 'Make America great again.'

This thought was pulled from a French scholar

“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers – and it was not there . . . in her fertile fields and boundless forests and it was not there . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce – and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution – and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

The only way we become a great nation again is for we the people of this nation to REPENT of our sins and lay our lives at the feet of Jesus Christ.  This and only this will transform our nation.  No president or political party can change anything.  JESUS is the only one who can make this nation great again.

The question I have for you is this...what are you going to do?

Joshua 24:14-15 says: 

14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

So I guess the question is will our new leadership be the kind of leadership that will lead us to the feet of Jesus? That remains to be seen.  I personally hope so!

Regardless, we need to be a people who say 'No matter what happens...me and my household will serve KING JESUS!
