Dear Follower of ‪#‎Jesus‬...don't allow the devil to use your past to define you. Let the light of Jesus show you who you really are!

This was a post I made a few days ago on facebook...

So  many times what happens in our lives is that we come to Christ and repent of our sins, and we know in our heads that Jesus has forgiven us, but so often what happens is there is a disconnect between the heart and head.

The devil sees that and jumps.

You know what I'm talking about...that little voice that says 'Jesus can't love you...you're not really forgiven.  You're to messed up, your sin is too big, and God will not forgive you of that.'

And for some of us we some of us we live here from time to time.  But this is why God's Word is so important.

The Holy Spirit in his conviction of your sin will always point you to the answer of JESUS CHRIST and his Grace...He will point you to redemption and reconciliation.  While the devil will always just make you feel like a horrible person with no place to go.

You are not your past.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9

If we confess...there is something amazing that happens...we find forgiveness...and Jesus does something amazing when He forgives you...

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;

as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

As a father has compassion on his children,
    so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;

Psalm 103:11-13

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,  because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.  Romans 8:1-2

WOW!!!!

I beg you...come to Jesus in  repentance and everything changes!  Don't let the devil fool you.  Take time to dig into God's word and allow the power of His Word bring you to life! You'll never be the same.
