We live in this Christian culture that puts insane examples in front of our eyes, when it comes to the idea of success.  We see ministry leaders and pastors who seem to just open the doors and thousands of people just show up, and the church is an instant hit.  We see musical acts that put a video on YouTube and they seem to get millions of views within just a few days...and then we look at our lives and we tend to feel depressed that we pretty much seem worthless.

But what we need to remember something, there really is no such thing as an overnight success.  What we perceive as overnight really typically took years to get there. We did not see the moments where that pastor was preaching to 5 people, we did not see that band playing events for 10 people.  And what's really sad is that we measure success by numbers.  Because if you look at Jesus ministry at the end of it, he had 120 folks standing around him.  He fed and ministers to thousands and thousands of people and at the end of the day only 120 folks stuck around.  We walk on really shaky and dangerous ground when we measure success by numbers.

Real success is being faithful to what God's called you to be doing.  And that may be to preach to just a handful of folks.  That may mean you're connected with a small group and do life with that group.  That's not failure.  That's success.  Why?  Because you were faithful to God's calling in your life.

Stay committed  to your dream and the goal you have set before you.  Stay focused on Jesus as the author and perfecter of your faith and you'll win every time.  Even if it seems small. You still win!!
