Jesus NEVER pushed an agenda of retaliation, but rather one of RECONCILIATION.
This really is something that I think we are missing as a people. Most people are not forgiving, they are vengeful.
How can I say that?
If you get a parking place ‘stolen’ from you at Wal-Mart or the mall what is your reaction?
If you get cut off in traffic what is your reaction?
If you standing in line at a coffeehouse and the guy or gal in front of you is taking too long what is your reaction?
If you standing in line at a coffeehouse and the guy or gal in front of you is taking too long what is your reaction?
Do you get angry?
Do you want to give them a piece of your mind?
Do you want to give them a piece of your mind?
Instead of seeking reconciliation we take on the mind set of retaliation. Why? Because we wanna be right?? This is so un-biblical.
What would the world look like if we lived our lives from the stand point of putting others first?
Imagine what type of missions could be accomplished.
Imagine how the Gospel could and would spread if we did not have to right all the time, or have the last word?!
Imagine how amazing life would be if people were not trying to ‘get even?’

Look what Jesus said:
38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,[b] let him have your cloak as well. 41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.
Matt 5:38-42

Walk in forgiveness rather than attempting to get even.
You'll sleep better when you hand this over to JESUS!
